Big Bear is our hop-forward take on the classic Red IPA - bold where it counts, with just enough malt warmth to keep things balanced.
Strata, Galaxy, and Idaho 7 bring a lively mix of passionfruit, ripe mango, and grapefruit peel, layered with sticky pine and a little resinous depth from Simcoe and CTZ. It’s bright and aromatic up front, with that familiar West Coast-style bitterness gently building through the palate.
Underneath it all, Maris Otter and Pilsner keep the base smooth and drinkable, while Carared and Caramunich add soft caramel and toasted biscuit that give the beer its deep red glow.
The result is punchy but balanced - bright hops, warm malt, and a crisp, resinous finish that keeps you coming back for another sip.
